Having scoured the internet for a good source for local dining deals, e.g. kids specials, 2 for 1, etc., I've come up empty handed. So, I've decided to create a simple site to compile local dining deals. If it proves popular, I'll expand into other cities. Right now, it's focused on Austin, TX and surrounding communities. As I and others come across good deals, I'll tweet and update the Austin deal calendar on my new Daily Dining Deals blog.
The easiest way to stay up to date on new deals is to subscribeto the blog, subscribe to the calendar and/or follow diningdealsaus on twitter.
I do need your help to make this site useful for everyone. If you run across a good deal, please share with others by commenting on the calendar post or tweeting me. I'll update the calendar so the listing are always comprehensive. Thanks!
Levi, I have no idea how you had the time to do this. But, I think its great. To bad its a three hour drive for me to take advantage of it. You might want to put a link to all the clear channel radio stations in Austin. They have a section where you can buy gift cards for 50% off their face value. See you soon.

This is a good site for gift certificates...we've used them once or twice...but it requires you to purchase the coupon in advance and some have dinner/lunch only restrictions, so it works more like a prepaid coupon... But saved us a little cash...

Very cool. There is something out there because I used to get an email on Fridays at Austin capital. But if you cannot find it, they are not doing a very good job of advertising it out there. I like this very much. I will make sure Meredith sees this. If I can find the other I will let you know.
